Is A Masonry Chimney Out Of The Question? No Worries – We Sell & Install Factory-Built Chimneys!
If you’re like many homeowners, you dream of adding a stove or fireplace to another room in your home, but you simply don’t want to deal with the material cost, labor, and time commitment associated with having a new masonry chimney added to the home. We get it. Masonry chimneys are a major investment, and with the weight of stone, brick, and concrete, the area of the home you’re looking to add to may not be able to foot the bill. But don’t despair – modern factory-built chimneys (also called prefabricated or class A chimneys) offer a solution.
What Is A Factory-Built Chimney?
Factory-built chimneys are chimney systems that are UL listed and tested in factory and installed in the home, rather than built brick by brick. Constructed from strong and durable stainless steel pipe, factory-built chimneys are affordable and effective options for those looking to add a fireplace or stove to a guest room, master suite, bathroom, or study.
Here at The Chimney Guy, we sell and install factory-built chimneys from DuraVent (DuraTech class A chimney pipe) and Olympia Chimney (Ventis class A chimney pipe), both leading brands within the industry.
DuraTech Class A Chimneys – DuraTech class A chimneys are double-wall systems that can be used to effectively vent a wide array of appliances, including water heaters, boilers, furnaces, fireplace, stoves, and factory-built zero clearance fireplaces. Approved for use with all fuels, DuraTech provides a thick and durable chimney system that’s designed to last.
Ventis Class A Chimneys – Ventis class A chimneys are available in 304L and 316L stainless steel and are constructed with the intention of reducing the risk of heat transfer. These chimneys carry a Forever Warranty and are approved for use with all fuels – although it should be noted that the Forever Warranty is only included in regards to coal if the 316L pipe is chosen. These chimney systems have accessories and system options that were designed specifically for use with Ventis class A chimney pipe, including flashing, caps, snow wedges, storm collars, wall support, and more.
